Unfair

"So young, she was so young..."
He was standing apart while the detective was examinating the body. He just could not look at it.
"She was so young. It was so unfair..."
Agent Cooper turned his back. He felt tears coming to his eyes. No one should see him shed tears. It was not the first corpse he saw, but it was the first time he had to mark the silouette on the floor. And she was young. She was not very pretty, but she had the kind of beautyness that youthness gave to every girl. Every young woman has it, although many of them hide it beyond a wall of paint and jewels. It is like an aura floating around, making everyone stare at the young ones with a mixture of envy and joy.
He calmed himself. It was part of his job. It was part of his life.
Tess was on the vagon. It was crowded. The air was filled with that característic smell, made of sour and the perfum trying to dide the sour. She was trying to avoid perverts and burglars at the time she tried not to fall. Few stations thereafter she could reach a sit. She was able to breath again. Finally.
She started looking at everyone near. That boy... it was fine, almost handsome. Was he looking at her? No, it cannot be. Could it be? Yes! Definetly she was looking at her...but she had to go. It was her station. Nevertheless, she never think herself was pretty. It was the first time someone look at her. For the first time of her life, she tasted a glance of selfishness. She liked it.
Oustide, the nightlamps light on, marking the begining of the night, although the sun had not completly fallen. The air was cold, and smell as rain. The weather made her feel gloomy with no reason. She won't forget the last days of her life. Some of her best friends betrayed and left her alone, and then, some people she did not felt so close came to cheer her up. In a few days he learnt so much about life, yet she knew there was much left to learn. She has so many projects now in his life. She is almost happy, as happy as a teenager can be.
Now she'd better hurry. She shake her head and throw all her feelings away. Her mom must be worried, because she was about to be late. If she runs she mayb----------------EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEKKKKKKKKKKK
- Agent Cooper? We have identified the victim. Here's her identification...Tess Williams. Here's her mobile phone. You know what to do.
Trying to deny his feelings, hiding the shaking of his hand he took the phone and nod off. The detective turned away. He tried to calm down. He searched for "HOME". Then he dial the numbers in the police phone. With each ring he took a deep breath. He wish no one answers so someone else can make the call.

-Tess? Is that you? If it's you you'd better get prepared to...
Like the first man jumping throw the window in the building in flames, finally a tear runs down Cooper's cheek. It was followed by many others.
-Ma'am, calm down, this is the police ...
